ABOUT

Brittany Tomkin is a comedy writer and video producer living in Los Angeles. She grew up on Long Island and surprisingly does not have an accent. She attended Hamilton College and graduated with a BA in Creative Writing and Theater. After graduating, she studied sketch and improv at UCB under Michael Delaney, Achilles Stamatelaky, Beth Appel, Doug Moe, David Siegel, Geoff Garlock, and Karin Hammerburg.

As a writer, she co-created the award-winning series, Myrtle and Willoughby, with writing partner Jorja Hudson. Myrtle & Willoughby premiered in early 2018 and has been an official selection at many festivals, including ITVFest, Hollyshorts Festival, Austin Film Festival, and Stareable Fest. The series also won Just For Laugh’s “Stand Up and Pitch” competition in 2018. Brittany is also a contributing writer to Reductress, the satirical, online women's magazine, and a produced playwright. Her play "Ceiling Art," premiered at the Adam Roebuck Theater in the Times Square Art Center in June 2016. From 2016-2017, Brittany was a frequent guest and occasional host of the video game comedy show, Play You Guys, on twitch.tv.

As a producer, Brittany has worked on a variety of corporate and independent projects. She has produced corporate projects with Animal Planet, A&E, Milano Cookies, and Barnes & Noble; she has also worked on projects with HGTV, Food Network, NBC, and Esquire Network. She was also a Production Coordinator for House Hunters International and an Associate Producer on Pillow Talk, a 90 Day Fiancé spinoff series, on TLC. She currently produces shows with Dropout.TV.
